You do realize that out of the 95 field goals Rondo has made this season, 49 are jumpers, right? He has 115 FGAs and he used 115 of those on jumpers.
According to basketball-reference, he’s shooting 53% from 16 to 23 feet and 65% at the rim.
Jesus Christ, you act like Rondo never hits any jumpers and only makes wide open layups. Before you say stuff like he takes ‘pointblank’ shots at the rim, watch the games or at least look shit up.
When you talked about Rondo FG percentage you have to point out why it may be high
- Limit his shots (still has a low scoring average)
- Take close range (pointblank at the rim) shots
- He’s on a team where it would be defensively hard to pressure any 1 person on the roster.
He’s shooting just over 50% through the season so far.
